San Nicolas
San Nicolas is the second town, at the south-east end of the island: the old refinery, the mural-covered main street, and Baby Beach and Rodgers Beach nearby. It is the most affordable part of Aruba and the furthest from the airport, about twenty-five minutes.

Living in San Nicolas
San Nicolas grew around the oil refinery and has a different feel from the rest of the island: a proper main street, Caribbean rather than Dutch, and known now for the street art that covers its buildings. Baby Beach, the calm lagoon at the very tip of the island, is a few minutes away.
Property here is the most affordable on Aruba. It suits buyers on a smaller budget, and renters who work in the south. The trade-off is distance: the hotel strip and the airport are twenty-five to thirty-five minutes by car.
